Baseline Testing

We provide individual and group testing for Baseline (pre-injury) Tests, and individual Post-Injury Testing on an appointment basis.
While annual Baseline Testing is required for Youth Athletes (due to their rapidly developing brains), most High School athletes will ideally Baseline Test twice:
• before their Freshman year sports season
• before their Junior year sports season

ImPACT testing

Post-Injury Testing
The neuropsychological test we use to evaluate cognitive function is called ImPACT. Through
ImPACT we are able to evaluate, document and measure various brain functions, including memory, processing speed, reaction time and symptoms. With proper medical care and neuropsychological testing, ImPACT Certified Physicians are able to determine when an athlete has recovered from a concussion and can safely return sport.

If an athlete has not taken the baseline test, ImPACT Inc. has developed norms that can be used to evaluate the recovery process of a concussed athlete. While these norms can be used to monitor recovery they do not replace the value athlete being compared to a baseline test.

The neurological computerized ImPACT Test requires special training and certification to administer and execute. Our experienced staff has been thoroughly trained and certified by the ImPACT organization.
